A native of Dorado, Puerto Rico, Attorney Hernández has maintained an interest in social causes from an early age, while pursuing an education grounded in hard work, discipline, and commitment.

In recognition of her dedication and effort, she was awarded the FEE scholarship at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a minor in Human Diversity and Oppression, graduating summa cum laude.

She continued her academic studies at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor and developed a particular interest in labor and employment law, constitutional law, and criminal law.

As part of her legal training, she gained practical experience in proceedings to determine probable cause for arrest under Rule 6 of the Puerto Rico Rules of Criminal Procedure, as well as in matters involving public corruption. She also expanded her knowledge through an academic cooperation program at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina and a student program at the Complutense University of Madrid in Spain. These experiences enriched her understanding of the law across different social and cultural contexts.

During her studies, she also volunteered with WomensLaw, an initiative dedicated to providing legal information to victims of domestic violence. Through this work, she helped make legal information accessible to people facing vulnerable circumstances throughout the United States.

For Attorney Hernández, practicing law goes beyond knowledge of legal rules. She believes it is essential to understand the particular circumstances of each case and approach every matter with responsibility, thorough preparation, and compassion, while maintaining open communication with clients and a steadfast commitment to protecting their rights and interests.
